You know when you are building a building and you see those green squares underneath them? Well I was curious if you could take those squares and just place them on the map as a unit? I would really like to be able to do this. Also modify the color to be what you want it to be. I have no idea where to start.
Please help, it is very much appreciated.

While fiddling around with some cool effects to use in my map I found what your looking for. Here's how to recreate it:
1) Go to the Actors tab of the Data Editor
2) Click on any one of the folders and select 'Add Object'
3) Name the object & set it to be a doodad
4) Click on the object, type in model in the search bar and then double click the bar the has model in it
5) Find one of the models that have 'placement' in the end of them, these are the ones that your looking for - however there are a lot of other effects in there that look cool - just play with it. Also if you search up 'scale' in the search bar you can edit that to change the model size if it's too small or big
But I don't know how you would make this a unit, unless you can get to this exact menu from the unit's tab - then it's easy.
Thank you for reply.
When I find any of the units with placing of that said building as well.. O_o I just want the boxes at the bottom... And I also need it to show up within a region due to triggers.. D: Only way I could think of doing that is to make it a unit not a doodad.
