I'm using a lot of actors instead of units and wanted to know any downsides to using them. Such as, is there a limit on the amount of actors I can use, how much computer power (cpu, ram, video) would it tax someones computer, if I create and destroy them a lot will it leak (like in Warcraft 3 memory leaks), and will creating/destroying take a longer time or should I just store the actor models themselves along the edge of the map and use a camera far-clip of one less then the edge of the map (actors are on the edges of the map but wouldn't render themselves because the camera is cutting them off)
Hello, some simple but hard questions.
I'm using a lot of actors instead of units and wanted to know any downsides to using them. Such as, is there a limit on the amount of actors I can use, how much computer power (cpu, ram, video) would it tax someones computer, if I create and destroy them a lot will it leak (like in Warcraft 3 memory leaks), and will creating/destroying take a longer time or should I just store the actor models themselves along the edge of the map and use a camera far-clip of one less then the edge of the map (actors are on the edges of the map but wouldn't render themselves because the camera is cutting them off)
How are you using actors insted of units?

I'm using the CreateActorAtPoint() function. Everything is controlled via triggers (movement, attacks, etc).
