Make new GUI triggers with custom scripts? I ask because I intend to make maps at some point and custom made GUI triggers that do actions that could take a lot more work otherwise would really help. I don't want to use scripting as for one I'd have to learn the language, which I have no interest of doing atm.
Yes you can and no you dont have to do any galaxy scripting at all. When you go to add a new trigger look a bit down your going to see a couple extra options such as new action defintion, new condition defintion and new function. Add a new action defintion, it pretty much works like a standard gui trigger but once your done if you goto a trigger and add a new action look under the 2nd catatogy (from the top) and you will find the action you just made! There are some more in-depth tutorials about these topics you can find in the tutorial forum/wiki list here on sc2mapster.
And yes you dont have to know or use .galaxy script at all to have them working and usefull, however if you wanted to, there is as always the option to use it still though.

EPIC. This truly means that anything is possible (in terms of gaming) with the GE. Aweeeesssssommee. Thanks :)
Yeah you can use existing functions and just put them in a reusable block.
Pretty much the whole point. I generally add a custom script in there too though.
You can even right click on the new action/event/condition/function definitions and set them to "internal" or a couple of other options to change the category. You can make libraries that add whatever GUI trigger events/conditions/actions/functions you want and have them in their own category so if you install the library it's as if your definitions are part of the trigger editor.

Could you?

Basically you can write galaxy functions and make a GUI wrapper around. This enables huge possibilities :)
