I am working with mod files a lot and after 1.4 killed a lot of stuff in my games I changed something in my mod and replaced the older version in the SC2/Mods folder which had always worked before 1.4.
But now I can change whatever I want, ingame everything stays completely the same as if the maps started to use another, outdated version of the mod.
So I deleted the mod in the mod folder and on starting the map I correctly get the error that mod files are missing.
BUT after that I again saved my mod in the folder where I deleted it before and... I get the same error on starting the map oO
What the hell is going on there!?
I also updated the map's dependencies and in editor everything seems alright, but I still get this error message and I don't see anything I could do :(
Anyone has expected similar problems or atleast has an idea of what has gone wrong?
@Talon0815: Go
1. Update mod and upload
2. Update map's mod reference
3. Upload map
4. Close editor
5. Start game and play the map
That works for me all the time... It still worked one hour ago...
For local tests, I've set the Battle.net's mod file's path to my local mod file, so it won't have to download the mod.
When I had problems before, clearing the map cache "C:\ProgramData\Blizzard Entertainment\StarCraft II\Maps\Cache" helped me out. Also, I had to close the editor before playing my just published maps to avoid a crash. I don't know if it is still present with 1.4.1 because this became my default behavior...
I think I'm getting the same thing. The data editor now lists older versions of the unit, button, etc. I thought at first that this was the parent version now displayed separately from the updated version because it has Liberty.sc2campaign/mod in the source column. But upon inspection, it too has my changes, despite the source column not listing my dependency. I also can't delete or reset to parent. And in game, the older version seems to be the one it defaults to.

Did all this (well did not upload stuff, I have linked multiple maps and need local testing for that) but still the same error :(
