It would be extremely helpful if we could define array sizes based on Presets and other "constant" values. This would allow us to replicate this functionality from programming languages like C:
The huge advantage of this is you can add or remove enum (preset) elements without worrying about updating every array definition that uses those presets (and potentially getting out-of-bounds errors). Currently, arrays in the Trigger Module of the editor do not allow their sizes to be defined by constant variables.
i totally agree with what you said!
i already mentioned it here but it is always good to know that there are others which thinks the same about this huge galaxy scripting problem. =)
So... is this really impossible? I have quite a lot of arrays I wish to give a constant size. Changing the size is very bothersome, because it's so easy to forget an array.
Any workaround? Statement of blizz they will implement this? Anything?

hiho,

The hardest part is the ingame error reports are so vague, it can be really difficult to track down which array is causing an out-of-bounds error.

I am gonna bump this for programmer justice!
Not gonna work. Sadly. Haven't tried galazy scripting yet. It might be possible
