This is a really really old problem- I remember asking about it here a few years ago, and I didn't get an answer then.
I'm trying to tint the "Ghost Nuke Explode" actor, since that uses the Nuke.m3 model which is the model used to show the actual explosion of the nuclear missile ability. Can anyone get this to tint successfully? I've had issues, even when using the same method as I would on actors that work.
If it works, then I'm apparently doing something wrong. As for the Texture Select by ID... I have not tried that- although I have done it for a number of units on my map already. Do you think that would work on something like an explosion?
I ran into some confusion while trying to perform the switch. I read...err skimmed through Borg's tutorial again, though I've read it before and gotten plenty of regular units to work, but I always have trouble figuring out which texture I'm supposed to be replacing, or whether it really matters, or... Maybe I'm just tired. Could you give it a try? If you wanted. I guess it's asking for a bit much.
Interesting..I'm not sure what I've done wrong, then. Thank you alot for confirmation that's it's possible- I'll keep fiddling with it and see what's keeping it from working. I hope it's not something stupid that I've done, haha.
Edit: For clarification, what actor is the Nuke.m3 model actually used in, there?
Okay, so I finally got it thanks to a hint from those pictures. Maybe this is how it is- maybe not, but when the Model and Sound were mashed together in that Squip actor, I couldn't tint the model. So what I did was separate the two, and now it works. So, thanks for the help guys. =) I appreciate it once again.
Edit: For those interested, the Hint was that he managed to tint it, but NOT inside of the regular Nuke Explode actor- it was inside of something to do with a baneling. So, that was the hint.

So actor creation>Set Tint Color does not work? Tried the Texture Select by Id action?

It works for colossus beams so is worth a shot.

@Zetal: Go
To tint the explosion actor you just go into Events+
Event: Actor Creation Action: Set Tint Color
It's pretty simple.
I tried that. It works for other actors, but not for the Nuke Explode actor. If you can get that to work, please let me know.

I've tinted the nuke model no problem before.
EDIT: Well I already had the map open so ya, you can definitely tint that model.

Baneling??? What that got to do with it?
