I have a question in regards to Saving and loading units ingame.
I know its possible to save a character, say in an RPG then in another game load up the same char you saved, so that your progress is saved etc etc.
So imagine I have created an RPG, then imagine i have created another map that is an arena map.
Is it possible to Save a character on the RPG, then log into the Arena game and Load the character, using a code etc?
If this is possible, then i will put forward my idea for a Custom map i have.
Banks. Quite hard to use at first, but the basics is this:
Preload and open the needed bank. Then create all the sections and keys and set them to nothing if the bank has had to be created. This isn't needed, but avoids some bugs. Then save each bit of data you want into the key you need in the bank when you need it. Simple example would be a score system.
You create a bank, set up the basic scores. The player then increases his score during the game. You then save the data into the bank whenever it changes or when the player quits. Next game, because the player already has a bank, it just opens. You then load the score and the player can then play and increase it.
Banks can be opened by any map as long as you know the name. They are useful for RPGs. For example, i'm making an RPG with 3 worlds or so. To transfer units over, i need to save them in banks then use stuff to check quest stuff etc.
Just as a addition:
All maps that are supposed to use the same banks need to be uploaded by the same account. Other people's maps cannot access these banks.

It is absolutely possible and actually very easy as well. Just use the same save/loading mechanics in both maps.
