I am trying to make a summoner hero that has 3 auto cast spells and for each one activated it will have a behavior activate and give it an automatic summon... but it will also drain energy slowly. but at the same time spell a enables spell b and spell b enables spell c... does anyone know how i can do this? with data and if not with data tell me how i can do it. cause i am stumped.
Simple, make your abilities create the unit and apply a buff to the host with a negative energy regen (like ghost cloak). It can be removed when the summoned unit dies (in a similar fashion to how the kills to caster buff is used combined with a death response similar to that used by spotters in the left 4 dead mod). The rest is just requirements that the caster has the behavior count of the -ve energy regen buffs.
If you want automated there is always the arm magazine ability to create summons like the broodlord (but able to interact without the host unit ording them to). Some details on spell b would be nice. Arm magazine has a disadvantage though in that the summoned units are forced to attack the scope of the host unit's attack ability (host also needs a weapon to do that) so it may not be what you want depending on what you have planned for your unit.
