I want to use the Checkpoint (Unnamed) actor for one of my buildings, however, it has a very odd shape. Basically, there is a pipe coming out from the building, and the end of the pipe acts as the center of the unit. So, when I place it, it looks like the building is several tiles down from where it should be.
Is there any way to offset the actor so that the center is several tiles up to offset its odd behavior?
Local Offset Site Operations sound like what you want to use.
All you need to do is create a Site Operation (Actor type Local Offset) with whatever offset you need, and put it in the Host Site Operations for your building's Actor. Host needs to be set to Alias _Unit, but that'll let you correct the model's position.
Could you walk me through that? I tried figuring it out on my own but got lost.
I see in the actor a field for "Local offset for 2nd visibility test", which is the only thing I could find that says Local Offset.
I also looked at Host Site Operations but couldn't make heads or tails of it.
