Is there any way to switch a text actors UI text based on if the player has researched an upgrade, without using triggers? I'm trying to get the kicker refinery text to go from displaying +5's to +10's, and later +15's, etc... after you research upgrades that change how many resources you can gather in one trip with an SCV but I cant find a way to make it work.
Go to the text actor's UI tab, and in the Text, replace the 5 with a reference to the value that you're changing via upgrades. (My editor crashes if I do it there, so use the Text editor, select the source as All Data, and in the left drop-down, select Button, and in the right one, select Tooltip. That should make it pretty easy to find the one you're looking for.) It'll probably end up like this:

LMFAO. I had the same problem but I didnt think of going and trying it in the text editor, so I did a long way around and made 4 requirements, 4 validators and linked them that way. I might as well just finish it my way. I blame blizzard. Thanks again though, DeProgrammer.
