The title says it all. I have lots of custom upgrades and I want players to be able to check the unit glossary and learn more about them. But they won't show up. Even some standard upgrades such as the Phoenix range aren't there. Is there a way to make it work?
If you want the Phoenix Range upgrade to appear in the help menu thingy, you must have LibertyMulti dependency enabled. It is not a default upgrade that the campaign/story dependencies have. It was recently added to the game, thus only available if you have the multiplayer dependency.
As long as your unit is setup properly in the Units Tab (Tech Tree: Glossary X) fields, and your upgrade properly is linked to affect the unit, it should show up.
I just tested by loading up a melee dependency set, going in game and checking the panel, I could see the Anion Pulse-Crystal upgrades for the Phoenix. I went back to the editor, found the Anion Pulse-Crystal upgrade, switched the affected unit from Phoenix to Carrier, checked it in game and the upgrade now shows up for the Carrier in the glossary panel menu where as the Phoenix is shown to have no upgrade anymore.
@BorgDragon: Yeah I know that. I checked which ones were and which ones werent there and I missed one stupid detail. The Glossary shows upgrades that are CURRENTLY avaiable to the player, so the Use and Show requirements count. Obviously I won't see the upgrades in the glossary until the player is able to see them in game. But it totally kills the purpose, because I thought players would be able to check the glossary and decide beforehand which upgrades they want. I tried to give the research ability duplicated entries for these upgrades, one entry with normal requirements to be used in game and another with no requirements so it would show up in the glossary, but it didn't work.
If there isn't a way to ignore Show requirements for the glossary list I'll have to think again the whole requirement system I used only to fix it. Damn....
