Im looking to have a spell like Calldown: MULE with the exception that I want them to be able to be queued, then send the pod down on the target location when done training. How is this done? Im new the data editor so if you can explain as slowly as possible :P
EDIT: I also want that unit to be permanent and not to have a timed life
As it is the Calldown Mule is not a Train ability. You can include the Mule in the CC's train ability and make it appear at the CC's rally point with a drop pod just like the original.
Do you want to be able to select each MULE's target?
Nah just one rally point for whenever the unit completes. Might be best to just trigger it in?
Whats the possibility of making a dummy Effect - Target spell that does nothing but once you click the target point for the dummy ability you can create a unit at that point?
@Operation51: Go So, simply add the MULE to the Train ability and give the OC an icon for it. You will need to work on the drop pod effect though, I guess the current one won't work. Check the mercenary unit's effect to see how it's done.
Wait, you mean you cast the spell at a target point and it "does nothing" but then when someone click there it creates a unit there? Its possible.
Ok, I looked at the merc summon ability and i created a new ability based on it but i set my ability to being the "parent". How do I remove/add unit links? I think once I learn that I'll be good to go
Alright, I'm gonna get to work on this. I'll edit this post when I find it out and how I did it. Thanks
EDIT: I got everything to work except I couldn't get the drop pod effect to show for the scv after messing with 10 instances of 10 different fields. All i get is the unit trains, nothing happens, and then 3 seconds later (duration of drop pod animation), spawns near the command center.
I need to find what needs to be added to the scv/training building other than merc behaviors and effects to make the pod show for the ability if I want to go that route. Any ideas?

@Operation51: Go just double-click the slot and add the details. Check the other units' slots to see what you need to change.
