Alright so I'm attempting to make an alternative melee mod. So far its all good, I plan to use it to test some things out, perhaps it will eventually get popular among higher ranked players. I wont do anything obviously unbalanced but I will test some cool things and things people suggest if I can. One thing that keeps bugging me is that Zerglings cant use their wings aside from faster movement. Now I know allowing them to jump up cliffs would just be gay. But back when the game was in beta I thought of the neat idea of having them able to jump down cliffs but not up them. Would compliment their hit and run tactics just like reapers without the obvious imbalance of having 400 lings jump up the cliff into your base out of nowhere. I more or less copied the reaper jump ability and got it working, but the problem is allowing them to only jump down cliffs and not up them. Currently they can jump down cliffs but if I try to make them jump above the cliff then the game crashes. The ability to use this jump ability is tied to the speed upgrade for lings but that's subject to change.
Basically the upgrade also changes the Zergling's mover to Cliff Jumper. I'm thinking this is the problem but I have no idea what I could do to fix it. Doesn't seem to allow validators on movers or requirements so idk. Anyone have any suggestions? I found out if I change the mover going up cliffs to the reaper jump up mover the game doesn't crash when I try to make them jump up cliffs, but the Zerglings still think they can jump the cliff and when they try they literally freeze if I remove the motion phase from it. They are still commandable, but they cant move.
Yes I have that. Like I literally copied the entire thing, sounds, actors everything, and did a few edits hear and there for the sounds and what not. Nothing too big. Go try it yourself, you'll probably get the same issue.

Are you just changing the mover to cliff jumper? Because that's only half of how the reaper's jump works, the other is a Jump behavior.
