so I'm having a strange bug with my missile ability.
What my ability should do:
Missile launches and travels beyond it's destination. Basically like all those shock wave abilities seen in WC3. It doesnt matter how close you click in relation to your hero, it always travels the same distance.
What my ability actually does:
It travels to it's destination which works perfectly. BUT after reaching it's destination, it somehow bugs ... and well, I'm not quite sure how to describe it.. it goes forward, forward, back, back, back, forward (with some randomness) and so on. Just test it out.
Additional info:
- I know that at its current form, the missile will travel forever. I want to remove it later via triggers.
- My Persistent uses an offset of -2 to ensure that it also works, when close to and in direction to the map bounds.
@Hobrow: Go
When I set its mover's arrival test type: none it worked as I think you want it to.
I don't really know why it'd do that but I guess it some how met its arrival conditions and switched to a different mover. Btw thank you for mentioning the -2 offset in consideration of the map's bounds, I'd been bashing my head trying to figure out why my own missiles were just not launching within a wide margin of the bounds and yah its probably because I'd used a -20 offset...excellent.
Yeah the bounds issue ... has takem me some .... time :D
Arrival test type: none? I'm hating me for this :D
Yes, it now works as intendet... however, quite intresting what happens if the missile hits the bounds :D
Anyway thanks a lot.
