Could'nt you make this MPI by making the ability only apply the buff to units owned by Player, and limiting the global search to only units of the same player of the caster?
If the ability should only work on allied units, yes. In the testmap, it works on enemies as well.
Honestly, for MUI I would just use triggers here. Simple enough.

Was going for the same idea of applying a buff then using a search effect to apply the teleport effect to, and thanks again to DrSuperEvil for pointing me in the right direction, but got stuck in that the teleport effect was'nt working properly (kept taking the position of the unit in relation to the epicenter of the search then using it to offset against the target point, think mass recall which was what i was looking at, and also couldnt get a teleport based on blink working either)
Also what I ended up doing was creating a weapon that applied the buff as its effect. So now you can right click a unit then cast one spell once.
The buff effect is part of a set that searches for any units on the map with that buff then removes it and then applies the buff to the target (so there are never 2 units with the buff) coupled with the caster having a permanent weapons lock buff (ghost) to avoid auto-targeting units when it is moved (as moving it will be required for another ability/spell I will be using).
Should say I havnt got it working yet, only just saw the updated thread, and about to make dinner (its 7PM over here in the S.Y.D) so will let you know when its done.

EDIT - Working perfectly now, thanks again to everyone for the quick and helpful replies. Couldnt get my caster to right click attack an ally (even with smart filtersadjusted, i think its something to do possibly with the move order taking priority if that makes sense) so did a work around using triggers.
