I'm making sort of an RPG and I want to give the hero the Cliff Jump thing.
At first I thought it comes as an ability, but turns out its more complicated, and its a behavior with models and animations and the likes (didn't look further into it). All I could think of was giving that behavior to my hero, and adding a button to the command panel (made it passive and selected cliff jump, or something similar). That, of curse, did not work. If anyone knows a guide that can help me understand how to do this, or can list a few short guidelines, I hope its not too complicated as I've seen a video with this behavior attached to anther unit quite early during the beta phases I would appreciate it.
And btw hello I'm new, extremely new to editors (SC2 being my first) and too ambitious, so please be patient with me :)
The first thing I looked for was an ability, but I couldn't find any and assumed its behavior-only (and checked the reaper himself, and he didn't have any ability, only the behavior). Maybe I'm missing something? Can you tell me how its named in the list?
I did this back in Beta on a map I was working on. You'll need the behavior, and also need to change the mover type to "Cliff Jumper." You'll also probably need to modify it a bit so it doesn't make a jetpack sound and all that.

Thanks, changing the move type to "cliff jumper" fixed this.
If anyone knows how to make the animation look less buggy (I wouldn't imagine trying to make one or ask someone else to), maybe just making the animation "freeze" while jumping (since novas idle animation with the gun pointed up can fit the jump). Do you think this can be done with triggers?

did you add the ability itself to the hero?
you dont need the command button, its jsut for show.
i added it to a hero myself to see how it worked. it wasnt overly complicated

If this helps, I simply granted Nova the Raper - Jump behavior. What else do I need to do to make this work?

I also noticed that the reaper is not a unit. It is a MISSILE!!! (yea take a look). Make your unit a missile

I've done all of that and still no dice. Did you do anything else to change the behavior or unit?
