I need a Splat model that is Solid White. I want to use it to pain the terrian.
Some of the splat models like the AOE cursors for all the races, fit to the terrain perfectly. Even when scaling them they conform to the shape of the terrain.
Im looking for a white splat model I can use so I can "paint" the terrain. It should support tinting, as well as set opacity, adding a semi glow wouldnt be bad if there was someway to turn it off either.
A cirlce and a square model would be great.
Im not sure exactly what makes a splat model conform to the terrain, Im a complete noob when it comes to 3d modeling so yeah.
Im sure other people could come up with uses for such a model as well.

Sorry for opening such an old thread but I am trying to place custom decals on the ground (from custom DDS images). Were you successful in getting your "terrain paint" to work? If so, can you provide a quick run-down of how to do it?
create actor at point works.... to place an actor on the ground..
You can rotate the actor after placing it
Im not sure about using custom dds images ... I believe actors require some kind of model file that loads the dds as a texture for it.... you prolly want to speak with some of the people who work with models.....

Have you tried using the cube/sphere models and just flattening them? Just set the Z scale to 1

The cube and spheres are 3d so they do not conform to the shape of the terrain. I have tried and it doesnt work at all.

You can use SOs and actors to get it anywhere you want.
