I am requesting a repaint of the Raynor model with the rifle (not the sniper rifle). My map is a remake of a SNES game called Earthbound. I am wanting the model to better represent the main character Ness. In the original game Ness had a yellow and blue striped shirt, red hat, and red shoes. Some of you younger ones might remember him more recently in the Smash Bros. series. Let your artistic creativity fly here. It would be hard to paint directly (very unpleasant looking) so however you wanna mess with it. The important part would be the yellow and blue. Maybe one solid color and the other color in lines around side of body that taper to point or some tribal on sides while not going all the way across the front. I think straight stripes would look bad on a Marine model. If you want to try red boots or a red visor that would be cool. It might look good and might not we will have to see. Now if you could add a baseball bat in his hands easily with whatever animations I would need that'd be awesome too but not expecting that. The unit used though is the hero Raynor. Thank you for your consideration.
Yes that is exactly what I wanted. I'm still a noob to editing so figuring the lingo and other stuff out as I need them for the map. That is what I was imagining that units had to have a skin I could just paste on the unit. I saw a tutorial on applying so I guess I just need the diffuse texture since I still want it to look like a marine with a unique color of armor.
So I need photoshop for this correct? Am I able to have everything I need with a trial version if I download it? Can you save in all file types on a Photoshop trial?

I don't know if there is a free trial photoshop, or if it supports all features, but you could try Gimp with dds plugin, which is free and should work just as well.
At least, thats what I use for my attempts on skin or icon creation ;)
In short you want the diffuse texture of ness to apply to the raynor model using the Texture Select By Id actor event?
Contribute to the wiki (Wiki button at top of page) Considered easy altering of the unit textures?

Or you could ask anyone who knows how to do it (so you dont use up ur own time)
Yes I would like someone to help me do it.
Just clarifying this is still a request.
PM me regularly because i forget. I'm working on it now
