Going to use this wow model as cuotl snake unit. Not too close to the original look, but I'm not sure I can create a nice looking realistic snake movement.
So good to have normal maps finaly exporting correctly. Testing some stuff now. This is a simple 12 triangles box without smoothing, just tangent space + diffuse-related normals.
This is the first model I made with working normals. It's a bit fucked in little detailes, like 2 right things on the head. But 95% of surface reflects light right.
Just looked over the last two pages. Definitely improving a lot, Zolden :) Nice work, keep it up.
I was wondering whether you had the time to work on another model for Starmon - This time an actual starmon, so it'd be more complex, require more animations, textures, etc. It wouldn't be incredibly complex, it should more or less look like a doll, I can make some concept art if you want to try and make it - We'd use it as the equivalent of "Mew" in the pokemon games (Special legendary pokemon given out only on special occasions)
If you don't have time, that's fine :) That Bite model you made has proven incredibly useful btw, it looks great.
EDIT: Model is nowhere near urgent, just asking in general
Yea, I can do it, gimme the concepts. I have some modelling stuff to do in a near two weeks, and it should improve my skills even more, since those models are biped animated creatures, and then I'll create your Mew.
Thanks :) Working on concept art. While it's complete enough to get the point across, I really wanna work on it a bit more so it actually looks like as an image :p I'll PM you once I get it sorted out and I've run it by a couple of people for feedback. Thx a lot :)
Render to Texture allows you to render the view of a camera onto a texture. This is useful for things such as television screens, mirrors, and other similar objects. I however don't think it would be possible due to the fact that you have to link the camera to the texture. You're also incapable to use a casual camera to make the connection you have to use "CAMERAS FOUND INSIDE MODELS". There are models that are nothing but a camera. The model being Rendered also has to have a RTT channel too. I haven't been able to figure out a way to be able to do this outside of the CSE.
SMHyperionBidgeBriefingCenter is a good example of a model with an RTT channel.
There is a trigger that can set a Camera actor to a specific channel in triggers but no trigger to specify the channel on a model. That is why I was wondering if models could be set to default to a specific channel.

Yes. Trigger's description is specific enough and doesn't realy leave any space for different interpretations. Besides, we can only set trigger's channels from 1 to 7. Material also has only 7 channels. Probability of coincidence is vanishingly small. I'll test this RTT feature later. Would like to read the tutorial before experimenting.
Would have several uses as doodads eg. arena screens showing the "fans" the action, "news reports" on a screen at the side of a building, "security footage" of the intruders or just a wizard of oz like "crystal ball". Overall add a bit of atmosphere by showing players that they are being watched
Also if I can get it to work I might be able to link a seperate channel to a seperate players main game camera enabling a novel form of intel gathering.

I gave him your advice.
And now turret models I made for Glass Castle TD are available.
One can literally see the learning curve.

Holy arc will look like this. Maybe will add more particle visuals and light source.

Ooh, finally some concrete overshoes for various peoples crime based maps.

Sun Idol will look close to this.

That's pretty slick. The normal map makes a different for sure.

Yea, but I still use it in a rough, noob, exaggerate manner. With a little polishing would look less slick and more realistic.

Yeah would have to see a vid of the animations to comment since bipeds are a step up in complexity from what you have practiced on.
Out of interest how easy is it to apply a RTT texture to a model and is it possible to make it automatically use a specific channel?

Yea, in Art Tools' material we can pick a channel.
The question remains is that channel the same as the one the trigger Set Camera Channel refers to.
