I am having significant issues making what I thought was going to be a simple effect- apply behavior then a behavior that either A.) Disables the weapon of that unit or B.) Stuns that unit for 5 seconds using only the data editor. I am trying to get a unit to apply this behavior to itself as well, which could be part of the problem. I'm simply trying to add a form of delay to some AI I am attempting to get going.
Not sure what the problem is, and I have been attempting to make this work for the last couple hours to no avail. A worked example of this would be great, thank you.
Possibly, although I've tried about every target type I could think of. The chain of events is set to go something like this: Weapon fires effect set, set is set to random, 90 % chance of effect missile, 10 % chance of firing effect apply behavior. From there the behavior is supposed to cause 5 seconds of inactivity, either by literally stunning them or disabling their weapon, at this point I'm not very picky about which. At this point I've tried so many different combinations I'm not sure what to do with it, I'm guessing it is either a target problem or it is somehow not flagged to hit itself or friendly units....
The chance field of each effect is independent and do not stack. Is the buff being applied to the unit? Maybe upload the map so people can see what is wrong.

Issue Solved, only the stupidest of errors would do for something that I wasted 2-3 hours on. Apparently the little behavior count field on my effect apply behavior was set to 0, and it needed to be set to 1 in order for any behavior to go off at all. I have no idea why blizzard would make the default apply behavior count to be 0, but they have.....
Thank you for the thoughts DrSuperEvil and bone, as I thought it was the slightest stupidest error possible, lol.

Bump, could really use an answer to this.
how should the unit apply it to itself? ability? part of the weapon?
which part doesn't work? no behavior? behavior not working?
Probably applying the buff behaviour to the wrong target.
