I recently used this tutorial to allow players to move a unit using only arrow keys. However, I'm confused on why it does something weird. The ability works by using an effect that moves the unit by offsets, however, when I use the ability, it does not have a sense of direction and it moves targeting wherever it feels like. How do I make a move ability that can just allow me to move forwards and backwards?
Sorry I meant WSAD movement, not ArrowKey movement. Anyway, I looked through various tutorial sections, and none of them seem to be a great way to do it. How would you recomend doing it by triggers? Maybe something like this? Keep in mind that I do not care about unit facing and turning as I only want them to be able to move forwards and backwards (relative to the unit, to the player it will look like it is moving left and right, but the unit will be facing the side of the screen so relative to it, it is moving forwards and backwards)

That is WASD movement look at how racing maps do it. Also there are less laggy all trigger methods.

Edit: I implemented this and it works perfectly! Much better than the data version I had. The only thing is whether it will lag or not in battle.net.

I do not do triggers. Look on the triggers forum I believe they have a few examples on the various threads.
