Hello everyone, I'm trying to create this photon cannon that acts the same way as the original one. I'm just practicing how to duplicate units and put on the actors my own way. I've put the "photon cannon copy" , "photon cannon attack copy", "photon cannon splat copy", "photon cannon attack missile copy", "photon cannon turret copy", "photon cannon protect range copy" the way they should with the new photon cannon. However when I get into game, the photon cannon appears unpowered, BUT it still attacks, it comes out to attack then it goes back in, comes out and in, out and in, and so on. I just want the photon cannon to appear as it is powered but without a pylon. And yes, i've deleted the behavior of power use, maybe it has something to do with that?
I am pretty sure that it is tied to an actor event. Any unit actor that blizzard created with the power use behavior has two different animations set up to play. 1 for powered and 1 for unpowered. Simply removing the behavior doesn't alter the actor events, you're going to have to do that yourself. Since you duplicated everything, go to your Photon Cannon Copy actor, then double click the (Basic) Event: Events +, scroll down to the very bottom (should be very bottom) to UnitDeathCustomize =>ValidateUnit CasterIsUnpoweredAndNotUnderConstruction < DeathCustomize Variation 2.....Click it then right click and Remove selection.

Yeah, removed both of them and it worked wonderfully, thank you very much. However, there is also another problem, when the building is being placed there is no sound of the warp in when it is placed, it should make a sound like any other protoss warp in building. And the animation of a protoss building isn't there as well.

Remove "UnpoweredAnim" and "ProtossBuildingPowerUp" from the actor's macros.
