Title really sound stupid. Anyways, when I make a unit called Fenix and it has the Fenix ID and then I make a model called Gesalt Zero it switches Fenix unit into Gesalt Zero. It still keeps the actor Fenix but it's called Gesalt Zero. When I switch it back to Fenix it says it switches Gesalt Zero, which I'm guessing the model since it's the only thing with gesalt zero, to Fenix but I couldn't find that happen so I'm assuming it's alright but any thought on why Fenix would switch to Gesalt Zero?
It sounds like to me you're just trying to edit the original model/unit. It'd probably be much easier, or least more obvious if you just duplicate the model and fix everything that's broken (ie the model itself and the sounds, ect). Which I'd imagine you'd already know about. Maybe I'm misunderstanding what you're asking.
Well I created two duplicates of Diablo, easiest to deal with since he doesn't have any pointless upgrades and what not. One started with a dupe of his unit and actor, this was fenix. I changed the art - model of the actor for Fenix to zealot and renamed the actor to fenix. Then renamed the unit fenix. Then the second dupe was unit, actor, and model. Changed the model to ghost echo, because I already have a ghost being used, and then named the model Gesalt Zero. Then the error comes up saying fenix was named gesalt zero. So I switch it back.
I got it fixed out now but I'm just curios as to why it happened.
Erm you seem to ramble alot. You wanted to switch one model with another on some condition? Could you not have used the actor event for the unit that does a model swap based on whatever the conditions you have not named are?
Sorry about the rambling. I was just creating two more heroes for my map. One was Fenix the other was Gesalt Zero. Somehow when I changed the Gesalt Zero actor it changed Fenix and named him Gesalt Zero. That's all that happened. I just changed them back and so far everything seems fine.
