An swarm unit of the zerg, now what i like to achive is that the individual swarm members get damaged, that damage being transfered to the main core unit, once the the last swarm unit killed, the core unit dies with it. The damage transfer mechanism and HP share ( 35x Muta of 150 HP = 5250 HP core unit ) that i need help with, making the rest aka core unit invincible and untargetable is easy.
Why not make your core unit with whatever HP, make it invincible. Give it a magazine weapon(like the Carrier), external, make the units be Mutas or whatnot, add a behavior on the unit with a validator that validates the Magazine Weapon. When the magazine weapon has 0 units left, have the behavior kill the Core Unit. Make sure the Magazine cannot be replenished.

Sounds like a good plan right there .... reminds me of those pesky fly swarms in Diablo 2 Act II in the tunnels blocking my damn path.

Half of that it is done you wrote, now the validators and behavior which i need the help with, and i also like to make it reperishable, so if out of combat, then able to regenerate. I intend it to be a player controled ship, just like a BC =)
create a behavior on the unit that uses an effect on itself that kills itself.... get that to work....
then create a validator that compares the count of the magazine ammo..... make it say something like ammo = 0
then set the effect to use this validator...... this will prevent the effect from being applied and killing the unit unit it nolonger has any magazine ammo left.
not sure how you want to go about it being out of combat.... I personally would make some kinda outta combat trigger that when the unit hasnt taken damage for 8 seconds or something it would get 1 ammo replenished every 3 seconds or something like that.....
I would be neat to see the main units ammo units also be "swarm units" with even smaller muta flying around them.....
Thanks for the tip! It's not like individual units die and that reduce the firepower of the whole swarm, but the swarm units are targeted now and works perfectly.
This should do it for awhile.

Are you not forgetting about the Conjoined behaviour which links the hp of groups of units?
