Hi folks, I explain my problem. I have flyng units that can go underground, (for example a banshee with height from the ground set on -2) when rocket launchers attack it, the missles remain blocked on the ground. Is there a way to make them to explode on the ground and damage the unit?
I could do it via triggers but would be very CPU expansive (there already a lot of threads to be executed). THanks.
p.s.: Would be enough even if they hit the unit entering the ground, then i create the explosion effect by triggers.
there is some option for doing this in missile mover, i found it when reading official movers guide from blizzard, but forgot cuz i'm not working with them too often.
Have two motion phases for your mover. As the missile gets near the target it changes to the second phase which is a 2d arrival test. Read the Blizzard guide on movers for how to set them up.

You would have to play with the movers for them so when it is close enough they change to a ballistic mover with 2D arrival tests.
