I'm trying to implement a charge + column aoe that can only damage a target once. Both the charge and the column aoe (similar to commando raynor snipe) use closely offset searches to find their targets and run their respective impact effects, utilizing makers to make sure a target can't be hit multiple times.
Where I'm having difficulty is having the marker's be recognized by both persistents, and thus at present a target will be hit once by the charge, and once by the 'snipe'. I've got it almost working by using the "Casting Player" marker match flag... except after being hit once, the unit will never be hit by the effects again- which I would guess is an issue resetting the marker after the effect tree is finished.
I may end up resorting to validated behaviors, but I would think this should be possible with markers alone.

maybe this can be helpful : http://www.sc2mapster.com/forums/development/data/67222-limit-number-of-casts-per-unit/ i needed a set effect infront of the persistant in order to make the markers and validators work, but as i said there, no idea why and i won't dig into this again. markers are really a pain.
As long as the first line persistent applies the marker the second one should have no issues as long as you set the effects to share the same marker.
