Each named area that isnt a base is a control point. Kill all enemies around it to gain control and bonuses like vehicles. Use siege vehicles to take down the walls of the opposing base and proceed to storm in and kill the enemy general.
Take down enemy fortifications on the way to their main base to kill their general. NPCs can be found to aid you, and if you escort them back to base they will provide things like air raids or taking from the bodies of the dead to summon a giant living tree/rock to kill things.
Now that i think about it, an AV game would rock.. might do that.
Admittedly, when i first made this game it sucked bad so i've decided to redo it. Still testing and adding to it, but its in its first presentable state.
Objective: Defend the 5 bases from oncoming enemies.
Pick a marauder from 7 types.
Use vehicles to either get to each base quickly, deal out the pain, or repair other vehicles/base.
Teamwork is essential (when played with more than 1 person doi)
Dying only sets you back to the main base to be revived. You lose when a base is destroyed.
What I am trying to do with this game:
Make it fun, obviously, but to also get my mapmaking skills up. This is my only "true" map persay, and it includes almost everything i have discovered about the editor. I would also like to get people's reactions to this map. In its current state, is it enjoyable? If it was way longer, would you play it more than once? What extra stuff would you like to see in this kind of game? (this could be anything really, as long as it appeals to someone i may put everything possible in this map to give the player options)
Note: unlike the first iteration, THIS ONE WORKS THE FIRST TIME.
Or at least it better be localized becuase that program wouldnt do anything for me the first time.
On another note, DONT look at the artwork on that site unless you want huge lore spoilers. The artork is mostly portraits, but they provide evidence of at least 50 models :D
You could also create a dialog button to "upgrade" the creep by creating an invisible persistent effect with the same radius as the creep spread that increases whatever you may want.
Really, the only ways i can see it being done are through buildings or dialogs, but not creep.
Is it possile to change the color of unit emissives? Or does the color come with the model? I looked around the forums, triggers, events-events+ in the actor and the model itself in data but couldnt find anything so i thought i'd ask.
After going through several herp derp moments, i have discovered (probably not the first) that blizz may be using the starmaps for their planet loading screens. Go look at the few we have in the editor and then look at the loading screens. Notably Monlyth, same lighting effects and everything. Char has the floating metal hanging there too.
Just making this statement, as i havent seen anyone else say it.
Old news, but it doesnt make the idea less awesome.
On another technological note, with the dawn of the iPad something struck me...notebook paper sized devices with a look similar to the ipad, but devoted to text. Grab a stylus and start writing stuff on the screen and save it into a document, etc.
Imagine, it would make books obsolete if they could make it efficiently, which could be the near future when you look at the history of computers.
(does this count as a necro even though its still on page 1?)

You need to have logged in Bnet before it went down on the 19th.
If there is a solution other than that (which isnt really a solution anyway), i dont know of it.

Or better yet, an Alterac Valley-esque map: http://pub.goha.ru/files2/wow/alteracvalley/av_map.jpg

Change the zealot attack to do 1 attack as opposed to 2.

If you set the observer speed to 10 and tell it to move to a unit next to it, it will go in circles forever
