posted a message on SC1/Remastered Infested Marine Portrait

Hey, some of you might know me as miazmatic on Discord, I would change my name here but apparently I can't so

Anyway, I'm making a hero unit in SC2 out of Morik (http://starcraft.wikia.com/wiki/Morik), an Infested Marine from SC1.

I would like a Portrait done in the style of SC1/Remastered's Infested Marine, if anybody is up to the task.

You get a bonus cookie if you also do an Infested Marine in SC1 style Marine armor, but it's not 'required' (well nothing is required, it's a request, not a commission, duh).

If anybody does take this request, thanks.

It looks very clean and you can clearly tell what other experiments are happening in the lab, from this I am kinda expecting there to be a Hybrid boss fight. Oh and I see those turrets you sly dog you, I'll be on the lookout for them when I play.

The tree is a snow tree.

The benches are from the Compound Mansion.

Those confetti machines are mining bots.

The box that the Kate Lockwell sex doll is in is made out of signs.

The red present is an outhouse squished down.

The green transparent box is a protoss gas crystal.

The confetti is from the UNN studios mission with the Odin, can't remember the name though.

The decorations on the tree are: Carbot Zergilngs, Port Zion Ground Scrap (the nail/screw variant) and desert LOS blockers (idk which desert tileset they are from)

The wooden box might be custom made from doodads or is from a mod, I don't recognize it.

The green bags are recolored money bags.

And the Star looks to be a squished and recolored Compound Mansion fountain? With Landing lights going around it.

Idk what the blue glow is from, it could be from anything.

I'm not proud of how a few of the things on this map are, such as the tree or the fact that there is *no Depth of Field on cameras, but I can't use my computer most of Friday and the Weekends will obviously be taken up this Christmas, so I don't have time to edit those small bits.

Welcome to my take on this WTE, have a Zergy Christmas everyone!

Edit: Oh sh~~~uuugar, I have hit my maximum upload limit of 4.77 MB. DARN IT ALL! I can't post the images because of some arbitrary reason.

Edit Edit: I've posted it on imgur so here it is:

So I found out that my WiFi adapter was basically being crushed into the wall because I forgot it was there, I tried giving it some space and my internet instantly improved. Lets see if this works.

I think I've located the source of the problem, it is my internet. I cannot upload things to Imgur either, I have no idea what is wrong but I might be able to send an email with the files inside of it. So who wants it sent to them? EDIT: Nevermind

Okay so I've tried posting 7 separate times and 2 of them were on a completely different browser, if this does end up going through, then let it be known that I have finished this WTE, but am unable to upload it. I'll try tomorrow.

Yeah, it looks a bit silly in the editor, but he isn't supposed to be running, since it freezes the animations at random times it is supposed to look like he is cowering, I find it funny because sometimes the civilian being arrested looks like he is leaning up against his car, waiting to be arrested just like in real life!

As for your picture, wow. This scene is remarkably well done, especially that staircase leading to the upper level, that must've taken a lot of time to do. In regards to the story of the picture I think it is okay, but there is no context to who did this, this is far too gory to be the works of Terrans, but you never know, this is about murder after all!

EDIT: As a side note, I haven't seen anybody else but me use the Dumpster prop (the one you see in the first mission of WoL) turned on its side as a matress before, it would suit well for a theme about squalor.

I am not proud of what you can see from the camera's perspective, seeing the entire thing, the two Dominion Marines are actually arresting a civilian for speeding. I am also a little bit annoyed at how visible the Spectre is in the scene, like holy shit civvies just look to your left and you see him, but regardless he had to be that visible because if I had covered him from public view you wouldn't have been able to see the arresting scene in the background. Here is the full map.

My first time contributing to this forum, much less a WTE. As a side note I'm working on the first mission for custom campaign called The Embers of Eternity which takes place 6 years after the End War. All I'm gonna say.

ANYWAY! Some backstory on this image.

Although Arcturus' tyrannical reign is long gone, corruption is still rampant among lower ranking officials in the Dominion.

Some say that an unknown group of terrorists pay off the officers in charge of security of Dominion cities to turn a blind eye to their crimes.

Others say that the Dominion doesn't care anyway.

But most just dismiss it as fearmongering.
