I'm sorry for being late here. I've been having a lot of trouble with a repetitive stress injury in my hands. Luckily, my pain can be your inspiration! For this week's exercise, I want you to show me something that hurt. Maybe it's a car crash, or maybe it's a hydralisk spine where the sun don't shine. Surprise us!
I regret to inform you that it is still mercilessly hot here in the midwest. When I was a kid, one of my favorite things to do on a hot day was head to the water park and ride waterslides until my back was rubbed raw (or I ran out of slides on my bracelet, whichever came first). For this week's exercise, I'd like you to capture some of that feeling—make a waterslide or some other water feature, and preferably show us some people enjoying it!
It is hot here in the Midwest. We're talking eggs frying on sidewalks, corn withering in the fields, senior citizens spontaneously combusting into flames—the works. Inspired by my misery, for WTE 275, I'd like to see your own interpretation of a really hot day. I'm looking forward to seeing what you've got (and for a break in this heat!).
Ahahaha. I am the worst. This should have gone up weeks ago, or at the very least, yesterday. I bet many of you were wondering "Is anyone out there?" Well, what a coincidence, that's this week's theme! Maybe show us someone wondering, or maybe you show us them finding out the answer!
Combine a rectangle region and a diamond region, then set one of them to negative. Be aware, though, that compound regions can be somewhat sketchy for triggers. I've found that combining more than two of them causes issues.

Here's a better angle.

Here's my bit. Thought of a car crash first—went for it. Pretty low-effort, honestly.

Here's mine! Everyone was having a perfectly nice day, and then the ground opened right up.

I mean, the whole point was to use the upside-down shot to capture madness. I wouldn't describe the experiment as successful.

This is at best a mediocre effort. It turns out to be really hard to get a good camera angle when you're upside down.

I guess I'll run this for another week. Hopefully I'll have a chance to contribute myself, as well.

I really want to know how this one got past QA. x_x

Aha. That would explain some things I was trying to troubleshoot!
