Tbf though, how awesome would this look? Imagine someone standing in front of a screen with his hand in a position as if he's grabbing earth. Then, when he pulls his hand up, a mountain gets dragged out of the ground on the screen. I can totally picture the awesomeness.
My God man.. I don't even know how to reply to that, I want Galaxy Editor Kinect yesterday! That would look so totally badass! And when you do a horizontal sweeping motion, you fill the area with water.
Just wanted to start off by saying that Aeon of 6 Gods was freaking amazing in WC3. I never got into DotA and when I did I failed terribly except for with that fire girl Lina Inverse or whatever she was called with her 1shot ultimate. But I loved Ao6G. Anywho:
I think I recall at least 1 more layout you haven't mentioned, which if done well, could make for quite interesting gameplay when you gotta watch all sides and prioritize where to go first:
Also, no idea how this would work, but if you want to differentiate from the generic AoS/DotA, you could make it more like a battleground with cap:able hubs which give you benefits like additional army spawns or buffs like in WoW's Isle of Conquest.
I usually skim through it for 2-3 seconds or so, checking fast for keywords in different paragraphs to see if my eyes focus on anything weird, then I sigh and wonder why I wasted 3 seconds, and accept.
Ya was about to say, the biggest problem would be to simulate lying in a non-obvious way on the sc2 engine.
The only way I would imagine you would do that would be through dialogues, but if you have to write all the pauses with "..." and *wipes off the sweat from his forehead* and that kind of stuff, it becomes less of a guessing game and more of a reading game :p

All in all, it has both it's positive and negative sides.
Can you do the arcane robots and or doom walker/void reaver (would prefer the greenish texture) from tempest keep?
it had a ground stomping channeled ability back in wow, that one would be important.

That's because the textures and models are inside that .rar, you have to extract them with WinRar

It's not a death model, you use your crypt lord's model and it will play it's death animation.
