Yeah there is unbound keys in almost every arcade map i've tried since the patch, and I get a "hotkey conflict" message at the start of the game. (See my thread here.) It may be related? Was it only the W key that was unbound when you checked your hotkey options?
Btw I got your problem (Hotkey disappearing after menu opened) to work with the marine and stimpack, not sure why it's not happening on my map yet.
Edit: I've heard from a couple of other people on battle.net that have been having this problem too.
Edit2: It happens on Aiur Chef too.
Since 2.0.4 I'm getting this hotkey conflict message when first loading up my map, and a few other maps I've checked including Squadron TD and Nexus Wars. It keeps happening even if I change the affected hotkeys. It doesn't show up if I am using grid hotkeys. How many other people are getting this, and does anyone know if it is a bug or if it can be fixed on an individual map?
On my map there is one hotkey unbound when checking options. If I change it, apply, and then check options again it re-appears.
On this map (Undead Assault 3) there is a lot more:
I was having the same problem, with the hotkeys disappearing (but not the entire button).
I disabled ((Basic) UI: Hides For Simple Text) in the button properties for each button and that seems to have fixed it. Which is strange because I already had simple command card off, and overridden to off for everyone.
You need to use the function Combine Text and combine your message (e.g. "Incoming wave ") with your variable using the Convert Integer to Text function. (Or Convert Real to Text if your number is stored as a real)
Edit: Oh this was from Oct 5th? Well you've probably already figured it out then :)
If you can see the whole map, you could print-screen multiple times across it (moving camera across gradually), and then merge the screenshots. Then do the same with a map you know the size of. Then you can calculate the unknown map's in-game dimensions by multiplying the ratio of the merged-screenshot sizes by the known map's in-game dimensions.
Nebuli's way is probably easier though, but I'm not sure because I've never looked into unlocking a map (In SC2 at least).
I play melee, and yes this is something I am really looking forward to. Being able to join a clan and show-off its tag while playing with other people in it or playing in tournaments/ladder, without having to use your one and only name change will be great.

Oh that's cool, that means I wont have to go up to 2.0... but it'll still be annoying to sync the version numbers :)
I have seen some maps with version numbers such as v1.72, however when I update my map that is above version 1.0 it only goes up in 0.1 increments. How do people get the version to go up in 100ths after 1.0?
Also, I have uploaded the map to both NA and SEA for testing, but on SEA I accidentally selected major revision the first time, so now my version numbers are WAY out of sync and the patch notes are out of sync with the SEA version. Is there anyway to reset my version number or is it forever screwed? I guess I could publish the NA one multiple times to catch up but I don't want it to have a rediculously high version number.
Before you Issue order with no target you need to Set Unit Property >> Energy >> 75 (or greater), because I'm guessing your sentry doesn't have enough energy.
If you don't want it to use energy you can use Create Effect on Unit (From Unit) >> Execute Sentry - Guardian Shield (Create Persistent) on *Your sentry* from *Your sentry*

Hmm that's strange.
Edit: I just tested it in my map and my W hotkey still works even though "Allow Toggle Conflicts" is off. :S I'll try with a new map.

Yeah I really don't like that "simple" command card either haha.
Use the trigger "Override player option" and disable "Enable simple command card".
If you looked around the forums you would see lots of people have been saying it :)
Oh and you might want to force enable enemy unit selection too if you need to do that at all in your game.

Hmmm, You mean so that you have to load again to get to the next map, and not be able to walk from one to the other right?
That would definitely be nice, but not sure if I'd use it for my map, as it would force me to split a random order of challenges into two sections.

Does anyone know if Blizz has any plans to add support for 512x512 maps in HotS? (or any size larger than 256)

As far as I know this isn't possible, but if it is i'd like to know how too.

But this was announced like 5 months ago, right? http://us.battle.net/sc2/en/blog/5366967/
