Ah ok, gotcha. I was confused because: 1) Korhal wasn't a city tileset back then. It was turned into an ecumenopolis only 4 years later. 2) The UED lost that battle. 3) Brand new SC2 units. The SC1BW mod might have been a better dependency choice than the left2die mod.

    1) I was going to use a desert tileset, but I could not resist the allure of the SC2 Korhal City tileset with rain and thunder. I've always wanted to make a map that reminds you of the old Red Alert 2 environment.

    2) That's the point! This is an alternative storyline to Brood War.

    3) More of an artistic choice than anything. I always felt the SC1BW mod felt a bit weird in SC2, especially the dragoon and all that. SC2 units are fine, gameplay wise. I'm not as faithful to the BW storyline as you were in "Subjection", Gradius!

I don't mind of SC1BW mod, we already have a good remake of sc1 (our SC1 Remake ITA team Mod is the best, also because the HotS update from Jones and Telenil has still to come) With SC2 HotS mod there is a lot of fun and variety, i like it :D

Thanks! I'm glad you do :D

I tested it too and is a really great campaign, it remember me the "alternative" story campaigns of SC1BW, where you play in the original storyline but something of really important is changed, i don't remember the names, but they were ugly and takes hours to be completed

I hope my terraining is not considered "ugly"! :D

I always try to make my style as similar to official Blizzard maps or GSL maps as I can.

Check the help section. The storyline explanation is all in there. Perhaps I should change the type of the tips to be the one that pops up on your screen, so that people would remember to check. In fact, I'll make that change right now.

As for the story, it's actually very basic - a remake of what happened in the Zerg campaign in Brood War (Episode VI - The Queen of Blades). Except now, you're playing from the other side.

The Zerg are invading Korhal, as happened in "The Liberation of Korhal". In Brood War, this is the mission where you start with 10,000 minerals and have to tear your way through UED defences. Basically, the entire campaign will follow the storyline of Brood War, but you play as the opposite side.

    Hi everyone,

I created a new custom campaign (requires HOTS to play). I'm wondering if anyone is interested in playing it and passing on any feedback you may have.

I'd love to hear everyone's thoughts on difficulty, bugs, terrain, triggers, balance or anything else you can think of.

Although I'm happy to mark these missions as "Release", because from my own extensive testing, they seem to work as intended, I can't guarantee that it will work the same way on everyone's PC! So please be forgiving, and have fun!

Good idea, thanks for the support!

Well, maybe try it first. It might not be good enough for the CCI or the front page yet :P

Thanks Mozared. What's puzzling about the submissions though? What's the usual avenue for uploading a new version of a campaign? I hope I did it right!

And happy holidays to you as well.

posted a message on "Needs Approval" when I upload a file?

    Hi everyone,

I hope this is not the wrong place to ask such a question.

I uploaded a new version of my custom campaign in a .zip file and nobody else can see it.

When I go into the "files" section of my campaign page, it says that the status is "Needs Approval".

Can anyone elaborate what this means? Does this mean that a moderator has to download and look through everything before it is visible to other users, even for minor updates?

    Hopefully this isn't a stupid question. :)

    Thanks guys!
