    Update

    In this update I added a survival mode, which will have 4 different arenas (each one has it own difficulty), and created attribute system which has 4 things to upgrade in.

    Heroes abilities

    Each hero now have 5 abilities and 2 passives; one of the passives is actually the 4th attribute (most of them are aura), plus, I thought it would be nice to make abilities have different damage type just like League of Legends have, so I made abilities to have the same thing (physical damage, spell damage, true damage and basic weapon damage which is different than physical damage). these damages are controlled by 3 attributes (strength, agility and intelligence).

    Survival Mode

    There is not much that I can tell about this yet, but i would like to give the basic idea. Players are going to choose between the Survival mode and the Story mode in the beginning of the game. As i said before, there are different worlds in the game, and each world has it own (arena) for survival mode.

    The last world will be inside a temple where you will have the last battle in. I will keep updating this forum with everything new.

    If the cards (deck) are going to be saved then you can do it by giving each card a specific variable name ,and when the game starts the bank will load what the player saved. triggers are your answer not data.

    For example, you have 200 cards, each card is named by specific name, and you have 100 card on your deck only. so you have to make a loop that will repeat itself 100 times to check what the player 100 cards (deck) are.

    Greeting everyone.

    End of Dreams is a one year old map that i created as my first project. The game went really popular for quite long time. A lot of people asked me to fix the bugs and improve the game by adding more events and more heroes, but i have decided not to waste time in the old one and make a new one which will be more improved in every aspect.

    Enough babbling, I'm posting this forum to ask you people for ideas that can make this map development better weather you played the old map or not. I am sure that you all played RPG maps before so this one wont be much different.

    Terrain

    In almost every map you see nowadays the terrain is only about one world, so i have decided to change that in my map by adding a different world for each mission you do in the game. I have made 4 worlds so far; ( Jungle world, Ice world, Volcanic world, Home world (Military base))

    There are 3 more worlds i have not posted picture of, for they are still under development. Each world is quite large and each one will have 2-3 missions to complete in, each mission will take from 15-30 min to complete.( yea yea long gameplay i know, but that's what RPG meant to be ...)

    Heroes

    Heroes are my art, they were the reason for my old map to earn it popularity, and I decided to make it even better. With the help of HoTS new units, models and abilities, I will be able to make larger number of abilities. 5-6 abilities for each hero + 4 attributes to level up as the player wishes.

    Story

    Basically, I am not making this map have to do anything with the old End of Dreams, (Let us just face it ..... the old one didn't even explain what was happening exactly) so I'm just counting this as a new different map with a new story.

    A group of Terran, Protoss and Zergs decided to fight together to stop an invasion of hybrids and prevent the awakening of an ancient creature (Magalith) who seeks the destruction to all living beings. your job is to travel around the galaxy and gather the best warriors and army to fight along with in a final battle. (Mass Effect 3 ..... yea i know)

    Gameplay

    Here is the part that I need you guys to help me with. As you know now, this map will be based on (Going to a mission ==> Back to base ==> Upgrade + train your hero + research ==> mission again and etc ..), however, one thing that i really regretted before was not listening to what other people wanted to do in the game. That is why I want to hear every single suggestion you can make to help me make this map more enjoyable and more fun to you to play.

    Please feel free to write whatever you think here or on a PM or even Skype (Darkillusion.kwt). All your suggestions will be noted and all your help are appreciated. After all, this game is meant to be for you.

    I will try to update this forum with everything new I add.

    I do not plan to make players earn things that they can't get in the game with donation, it's like speeding up the game for those who hate to spend alot of time trying to earn all of the ingame rewards/achievements.

    Hey guys,

    2 years ago i started creating a game called End of Dreams which was based on heroes RPG/Survival where you can choose one of 15 different type of heroes (each with special passive powers and 7 other abilities). Due to the huge size of the map and the large amount of abilities, I could not finish End of Dreamse until a year and a half. Once i have released the beta the result was very surprising to me, people seemed to like it and it wasn't long until i released the full game where it became in the top 10 games for months.

    I was planning to stop the editing but there was a huge demand of End of Dreams part 2 so basically i decided not to.I started creating End of Dreams part 2 and I have set many plans to it to make it much more advanced in every aspect but ..... i don't want it to take as long as the first part did to create, so i wanted at least one person or 2 to help me in developing the game ( i'm good in almost everything i need in editor so it does not matter what kind of help i could get as long as it will make the creation of End of dreams 2 take less time to finish )

    One thing that i planned to do is to make a website and add a system where players can donate in whatever amount they want and in return they will be having a bonus things in the map ( it is all arranged and planned already ). Money is not my goal, I created the first part and never asked for money. Due to life is getting harder and time is short, it would be nice to have some cash and not feel that all the time that toke me to do the map was just a waste of time.

    A lot of talking i know and I'm sorry for that; in the end, what I am offering to who helps me in creating the map will have 20-50% of what i will earn depending on how much he/she helped me in creating the map.     I have been working solo in the editor for more than 2 years, i made a whole project by my self and currently its in the top 10 most played games in the EU server which is End of Dreams.

    About me

    Im 18 years old i consider editing as a hobby and as i said before i created everything in a map which means im good at triggers, terrains and data. for those who played my map will notice that im best at creating abilities which i really enjoy making.

    My plans

    I always wanted to create maps that other people would enjoy playing, i like to start something and work in it until its done, i dont mind to join anyone at his project as long its not player vs player mode because i see a lot of them and i would not like to waste time in another.

    I dont want money to work but also i dont want to work for many hours a day, i prefer survival co-op or other co-op games to work at.

    I had been working on a map called End of Dreams, it had really good popularity when the beta was released on EU server. I deleted the map to complete the game and finish beta but ..... life didn't gave me enough time to do so.

    I hate watching my whole work goes for nothing so I decided to give my 13 heroes that I created to a good map maker who would show me that he earn it.

    About my heroes: each hero has a special power ( Passive ) and 7 other custom made abilities include epic ultimate ability. I'm not sure if I can make a video but I guarantee that the heroes are not amateur work. they are made to fit a high action game ( Not PvP ) but with some extra work they can fit in it.

    Anyway, plus to that I will help the whoever I'm giving the map to with any kind of balances, upgrades or whatever he need. ( TEAM!!, don't ask why its on this forum)

    Some other maps uses timescale to reduce the cooldown and it works fine but the problem with timescale that it makes the unit move and attack faster = the percentage of the time scale that you gave. but this can be solved by decreasing movement and attack speed by the same amount of the timescale.

    another problem with timescale that it dose not change the text ( cooldown number ) on the ability but it makes the time moves faster. Also timescale can make the behavior go faster ( i.e if you have a behavior which creates fire every 10 seconds and you increased time scale by 100% then the fire will be created every 5 seconds )

    i saw many maps doing cooldown reduction this way like infested arena for example and i personaly use it too because blizzard didnt give us anyother easy way to do it.

    posted a message on LAG Kills Lag reducers for maps with high unit counts

    The problem with most maps which includes a lot of units is that most editors don't make different map bounds for each part in there maps.

    I did faced this problem with my map End of Dreams before but I solved it by splitting the map to a parts by just making the map get bigger each time the players complete an objective, in that way there will be less units by the time the player reach the final stage/part of the map.

    Another thing that you can make with map bounds is that you can hide a place which you no longer need and use an action which will remove all terrain and texture in that part. ( This might be best for RPG maps )

    Maybe this should been in trigger section.... Oh well :p

    Use a create persistent to delay the damage effect, if you dont know how then do this:

    make a new effect ( Create persistent ) then set the damage effect in the expire effect and change the expire delay to how long you want it to delay the damage effect ( make sure that the animation will be created when the create persistent effect is started instead of the damage effect ).
