posted a message on Modifying Movement - Collide / Radius field ingame ?

    Hey all,

Looking for some help to use a buff , effect , or even trigger to modify a units Movement - Collide field in the units tab for use during game play.

Or even better the units Radius size.

    Thanks in advance

Batomys - Yea I had set that up the only problem was that I needed to change the auto-cast state during gameplay , and any options chosen in the editor like that take effect for the whole game.

DrSuperEvil - Legend ! Ended up using the validator [ Player Type ] with - Not Equal To and - User fields

The only problem now is that the auto-cast is still in the on state (i.e bubbles swirling around the button) visually when the unit changes ownership , however the auto-cast itself is dissabled. Its not a show stopper as it performs as it should game play wise but would be nice to resolve this for polish reasons if DrSuperEvil / anyone else has any further ideas ? ?

Thanks both of you for the quick and helpful replies

posted a message on (Solved) Changing auto-cast state in game via data editor ?

    Hey guys and girls,

Was hoping someone knew how to change the state of a units auto-cast for any given ability (i.e turning off / on) via the data editor [or triggers if need be] to use during game play.

The reason in short for needing this is I am using a Mind Control ability to take control of target units that are part of swarms of enemy units, however the abilities these units are using are all set to auto-cast on (via flags in the abilities tab for those wondering) to ensure they are used against the player, so unfortunately as soon as the player takes control of any enemy (spellcaster) unit they instantly start spamming their spells against their former comrades sitting right next to them.

    Thanks in advance

posted a message on [Site Operation] Ability is casted from feet!?

Actors Tab > your Attack Actor > Art - Missile > and set to what ever is your missile unit (missile unit being the projectile its self that would usually either be an "Invunerable Missle" or "Default Settings (Projectile)" unit in the Units Tab)

Please reply to let me know you understand.
