My point of being here? Well if you had read my wall of text you will find your answer. My goal in Starcraft 2 is non-existent, I am just here doing UI design mainly for some people, splash screens, logos, any 2D graphics people need really; I am weak in some areas and more strong in others but I am willing to try everything.
Wow, those renders are absolutely fantastic! I would love to see more from you, please keep up the awesome work! You make me wish I would have gotten into 3D design rather than 2D design haha! XD
I am new, well I have been here for a few days, however I haven't met most of you! Here is a little bit about myself:
I am a professional graphics designer, I am self taught, I have been doing it for about 4 years now and I am still improving; there is always room for improvement and I will never be the best, however I produce quality works that definitely aren't eye sores.
I am 18 years old, I have been doing art since I was a little baby (Then again who hasn't XD) and began virtual design my Freshman year of highschool. I am now graduated and I am planning on going to college at some point, however the NAVY is a big deal to me and I want to enlist in that.
Currently I am a salesman for NorPac, a branch of Vector, which is a Branch of CutCo. For those of you that don't know what CutCo is: CutCo is a brand that produces kitchen wares, mainly high quality knives made of tempered steel. On the side I do freelance graphics design wherever I can get it, I do it paid and for free (The free ones are great for tax write-offs XD)
My name on Starcraft 2 is 'Gold', thus the signature with only the name 'Gold', I'm not claiming to be someone I'm not. I am proud of my name on Starcraft and I am glad that I got it before anyone else took it. Gold is much more than just a mineral to me, it is something I have striven for throughout my life, gold to me is something that we all strive for. 'Gold' metaphorically speaking is the dream that we all have, the dream we strive to achieve, and the goal that one day will be reached.
I have many motto's, but the main motto I use is a quote by Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi: "An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind." I prefer to paraphrase this quote just to give it some originality and say "An eye for an eye only leaves the whole world blind."
Although I only have 18 years under my belt I am wise for my age, I know it seems naive or even arrogant to say something so highly of myself, however I wouldn't say it if I didn't believe it to be true. I have been through a lot and I have a learned a lot in the small bit of this lifetime that I have achieved, and I have learned a plethora of things from the mistakes I have made. I have a lot to offer in wisdom and advice, so if you ever need it feel free to ask.
I believe every person has some divine purpose in this world (And no, I don't mean some religious undertone, I mean it in the sense that everyone has something important to do/achieve for this world.) and that we all have something great to offer, all of us are stars that have yet to achieve our full potential; will you be a dwarf star, or will you be the sun? Well, that's for you to decide with your lives choices.
There's always more to learn, I find that people are much deeper than they appear and there is always a plethora of things to learn just when you think you know everything about a person. Feel free to tell me about yourselves and just general chatter, I just figured I should formally introduce myself to the forum and declare myself as an artist. If you have any other questions or inquiries about me don't hesitate to ask!
Glad to be on the team! Also take a look at my signature, I've been working on it for a couple hours now. I got stuck on the stupid clipping masks, the damn glow kept turning dark gray and I wanted it to be gold. Then after all that trouble I figured it would just be easier to make a fill layer with the text cut out lol, I facepalmed so hard when I realized that there was such a simple solution right in front of me. The brushes are custom brushes from brush sets, however I as an artist for so many years find it more convenient to download brush sets rather than making my own (I am capable of making my own, it isn't that hard it just takes awhile).
Also for those of you questioning my progress on the team, so far I have designed and completed the logo.

I specialize in things like logos, I could attempt to do some digital painting for you as well however I can't guarantee anything in that aspect. I can do icons, recolors, splash screens and pretty much anything really. Also if you get someone to edit videos then feel free to ask me to.
If I am to join I am new to map making and I would really really like to learn, if you could teach me everything you know on the side while I do graphics design for you I would really appreciate it. Also if you could maybe let me help you on the design of the map it would be awesome, like teaching me triggers and importing custom models/etc. If not I will still just do the 2D visuals for you!
