Lauren Faust, the creator of this series, said the absolute opposite of that what you are trying to make us believe. She always disliked cartoons made for Girls, with endless tea parties and such. So, she wanted to use the formula of a Regular boy's cartoon (note keyword - boy) and with it make MLP-FiM. She did extremely well in that assignment, giving us good Character development, a well written story, and almost little to no plotholes. Dude, ever heard of imdb? Well, Right now, this show has a 8.8 on it, which means that this show is insanely successful to both audiences. You're the first to call us pedophiles.
Well anyway, now that I've removed that from my throat, I'd love to say how much this show itself is filled with awesomeness, making it almost perfect for me. It's my #2 most beloved TV cartoon *just after Tom and Jerry*.
