    @alexbis: Go

Yup, campaign and melee. The release will be in staggered stages though, more on that soon enough. Gameplay is basically Warcraft III on steroids. I know that's not saying much and it might appear like I'm avoiding the question but right now we're just trying to crack on and release something, nothing fancy but just a little taste which everyone can give feedback on allowing us to then mould the game to the community's expectations and standards as opposed to our own.

The difference is so minimal it doesn't look worth it even if it does work.

^ That's his website, scroll down to near the bottom you'll see a WMO/EXPORT to Max software download (and instructions). He wrote that, he won't be writing any more, if you understand it great. If not I'm afraid I can't help you either It's a bit above me.

^First of all make sure you moved both the models and textures to the ROOT folder (right click and select move to root in the import manager). If you've done that save the map, close the editor completely (every window) and reload, the model should be textured now.

    --

The Great Hall is a WMO not an M2, the process for getting such a model out of WoW and into Starcraft II is not known by me but another member of our team and from what he tells me it's not an easy process (in comparison to this m2 conversion) and at this time I'm afraid I can't give you the files to that one.

But if you want to have a go yourself just search for great hall with .wmo extension (I think it's that) - Export it as a .OBJ and try fiddling around in 3DS Max, I'm not a modeller so I can't help you much more than that, my apologies.

Here's the 'Ogremound' - With a little bit of imagination it makes a good gold mine. Enjoy :)

Were actively ripping some models for our conversion project, Warcraft: Legacy of the Damned (see the maps section).

Anyway, thought I'd spend the time to share some of what we've got with you guys (I didn't see these two buildings on the front page).

Orc looking Blacksmith and Troll Watch Tower (looks like a square version of the wc3 watchtower).

    Enjoy!

I'll be contributing some more stuff soon enough :)

Gee not half asking for much are they? I bet the salary's just downright stupid (in a good way).

Walle our 3D artist just revealed his WIP models for Rexxar. There are both high and low poly ones, for cinematics and gameplay respectively though neither is finished just yet. High Poly Low Poly

Indeed, I concur with the aforementioned idea of interviews and reviews about projects. However, I think tutorials are useful still, a balance of the two would be great!

Good question. The answer? No. Not a year, but the official war4 (should there ever be one) won't appear for several years to come, and that's the only thing that would give us cause for any concern. Were willing to put the time and effort in (as I'm sure is already apparent). We aren't "promising" to deliver anything, were not giving out release dates or ideas for demos because your right, many projects like this try and fail - who are we to claim were capable of breaking the "trend"? Were certainly not the most talented modders around, but we'll try our (and have been trying) our absolute upmost.

Only time will tell if this mod will officially see the light of day but I think with enough passion and support, almost anything is possible :)

Sorry for the absence, we had a shake up in the dev team :/
If your over at the Hive you'll know all about it of course ^^

Blizzard hasn't spoken out against WoW models and I doubt they ever will. So your A-OK to use them in other blizzard games for non-commercial purposes :)

Though a word of advice, they don't support team colour so could do with texture edits.

Thanks for the support guys, I'll try and post much more regularly over the coming months, particularly this summer!

But as always for day-to-day updates and first hand information check out our website (www.wclotd.com) or visit the Hive Thread! http://www.hiveworkshop.com/forums/project-development-664/wc4-sc2-165515/
