posted a message on [Request] (Fe)male Civilian Model

I'm sure this is something that a massive amount of people here on SC2 Mapster would absolutely love and adore; so I'll go over the ideas and features that I'd personally want to see:

    Attachments

    • Head: For the hair model (I'll explain later).
    • Right Hand
    • Left Hand
    • Overhead

    Animations

    • Attack (Melee): The civilian model already has one that works fairly well, so I don't know if you really need to bother.
    • Attack (2H Melee): A stronger looking attack which uses both hands.
    • Attack (Multi Ranged): An assault rifle or machine gun attack animation without the weapon.
    • Attack (Single Ranged): A shotgun, flintlock, or crossbow firing animation.

    Team Color

    • Hair: An attachment model for multiple hair styles on the same civilian models: to be clear this is a separate model entirely in order to allow for Team-Color change independent of the civilian model. I think it'd be a massively awesome thing if the hair model was team-color so that would add a massive amount of customization options for the price of two models. This would be a massive boon for RPG style maps.
    • Model Itself: Clothes, up to you, to be able to be recolored via the Team-Color. Again, thanks to the 256+ color pallet Team-Color options we could get a massive amount of customization per model (in addition to tinting and scaling which doesn't look nearly as good).

    Variations

    • Hair: At least a couple hair styles. I'd say the must haves would be pony tail, flat top, afro, and mullet. Again- its up to you to have fun with it.
    • Female: A few variations and to fix the issue that the model currently has. The issue is that when you reload the interface the colonist models will switch as if they changed variation count. As a guy making an RPG map where unit visuals are hugely crucial this is incredibly frustrating. Remove the hair so that she's bald (in order to make room for the hair attachment). Additionally, if the model doesn't have hair it will be easier to put helmets on them.
    • Male: To fix the same issues with the colonist models. Remove the hair so that he's bald (in order to make room for the hair attachment).

I would do this myself, but I'm not currently a student and I don't have 3dsmax.
