I've searched the other forums, but was unable to find anything that directly addressed this question. If you find another thread, please let me know.
I am working on heroes and am trying to create one with multiple levels of an ability. The guide by Akkibifuu was very helpful in attaching several behaviors to a single ability and then having a single button connect to the ability. Therefore, it was possible to have more than one behavior effect on a single button to be leveled up. However, with abilities I cannot find a way to put all the ranks of my spell onto one button. I tried stacking them on the command card, which only resulted in the rank 1 ability becoming active. The button was then greyed out on the second command card and it wasn't possible to click rank 2,3, and 4.
I have created all four ranks of my ability,(through duplicating and altering the numbers) and I would very much like to know if anyone has a way to put four abilities onto a single button so when I level up the skill the next rank becomes available.
Edit: Four hours later, I have found the solution. Basically, in order to link four abilities together, another ability needs to be made that has effects. Since abilities are made from effects, instead of linking a single effect into a single ability, all four effects should be put into the single ability made. Once that is made, create a learn effect for your hero that uses the single ability with four effects on it. Give your hero the learn ability, and update the command card.
