    posted a message on StarCraft: Reborn is recruiting!

    You may have heard of StarCraft: Reborn. We're a team remaking the StarCraft campaign in the StarCraft II engine. We aren't just making a port - StarCraft: Reborn will feature

    • enhanced mission mechanics
    • bonus objectives
    • material drawn from StarCraft lore (such as books and comics)
    • new optional missions
    • expanded story mode between missions

    As you can tell, we're quite ambitious. In the past months, we've found out that making games is hard. We don't want to pull a Black Mesa on you guys, so we're going public.

    In order to remake StarCraft, we need to remake a ton of old game assets. We need to remake everything from decals to portraits, and we need your help!

    We're also expanding our mission design team, although it will remain private. If you find StarCraft: Reborn exciting, and you have both the skills and the time, please don't hesitate to join our team!

    We are aware that many of you have done a wonderful job recreating old StarCraft units already, and we'll be in contact with you shortly. In the meantime, we encourage anyone and everyone to help us out - there is a lot of work to be done!

    posted a message on Freezing Missile Turrets

    @maverck: Go

    Sorry, I don't understand. Could you give me an example?

    Edit: To clarify, I need the existing turrets to stop spinning part-way through the game. In order to make the turret stop spinning, you can edit the "turret" data type in the data editor and set idle to "hold", and the turret won't spin. However, I don't know how to tell the missile turret unit to switch turrets mid-game. Currently, I made a duplicate missile turret unit that doesn't spin, and I swap them. I'd prefer a cleaner solution, though.

    At a certain point in my map, I would like all of the missile turrets to freeze permanently. I can't seem to get this to work with the "Clear Animation" triggers. Can anybody figure it out?

    Regards,
