    I only animate formats that I currently have available to import from. Sadly, I will not touch any .mdl file as I know full well that any source model in SC2 will get me in trouble. This goes for all GMod models too.

    2 "known" data points are not necessarily related. 3 "known" data points are a pattern.

    If you generate even Score = 1, 2, and 3 respectively, you can break the algorithm. Period. No if, ands, or buts. Without a random seed, you only have weak encryption, based on the hope that no one DOES generate any three known values. So please, save yourself time and stop trying to encrypt it.

    Then even trying to encrypt it is a tremendous waste of time. You will NEVER beat out the dedicated white/black hat who decides they want to be at the top of your list, especially when it's handled client side. Of course, you COULD always set a standard and encrypt based off the rotation/position of a quantum particle. [/sarcasm]

    RSA works SOMEHOW with random numbers.... just saying.

    Basically, go look up private/public key encryption w/ a random seed tacked in. Right now all someone has to do is see how your bank file changes PER SCORE CHANGE to see how you encrypt. More effort than I would like to see people wasting... but meh...

    A majority of the SM_Models are not properly animated for use outside of very particular instances. Take Nova for instance: Yes she's rigged and TECHNICALLY has animations in her portrait, but she doesn't have a stand, walk, etc animation.

    1. Generate weaponless unit model w/ attachments
    2. Generate weapon-only models w/ attachments
    3. Use host/site operations to attach weapon to unit
    4. Swap the weapons when needed
    5. ???
    6. Profit.

    posted a message on An annoying trend within the SC2 mapping community

    I would like to agree for all things except where art is concerned. If I spend 40 hours animating/rigging/etc a model, there's no way I'm going to just give it out or explain how I did it. We have both a Saturday learning event and my own request thread for such things, but I still get pms about getting the rigged Nova even though I haven't shown ANY screens of it yet.
