Confirmed.
As soon as I finish all my university assignments we will resume the show.
As a bonus to all you peeps for waiting, I will be showing one of my assignments and discussing the techniques used etc.

Even tho you desecrated the artist tavern by posting requests in the general section...
Ideally, you would want a custom decal with a team color and some alpha.
As far as terrain conforming goes, I can not confirm that they stop conforming when scaled up, but I also fail to see the issue.
You can just change the scale to something that works, and is half the size of what you need. Then place 4 of them. Or something similar.
And while this may work, I doubt it will look up to standards ingame, as a design solution.
Looking at multiple, often ugly colors, during a game is not something I'd consider awesome.
I suggest looking into other methods of ownership indication.
Well, making a good unwrap takes a long time, usually over 2 hours. So I can't really think of a way to explain this without making a very long post.
I did show unwrapping on ModCraft. Episode1 had the pure basics, and Episode 2, I think, had some slightly more complex stuff.
Perhaps you should check it out. You can find the ModCraft thread, with all the recordings here.
If you enable Face selection(press 3), and look in the Unwrap UVW dialog, there is a Normalize Mapping(or something like that) checkbox.
Unchecking it will cause your UV clusters to keep their scale, but will make them huge(so you need to scale them down later on).
Anyway, watch the tutorial. It covers unwrapping.

Reading the sticky is fine too ;P
And you most deffinately do NOT wanna generate MIPs. See sticky for reasoning.

Assignment time now.
ModCraft will be re-instated after I hand in all the stuff.
May record myself working.

Try this.
Most of the episodes show me modelling, baking and texturing something.

If you're refering to ModCraft - I never said that.
Also, not bad. Needs more detailing and then the lowpoly + mapping

He needs more SCVs. Not enough income. Also, supplies!

I haven't used it yet, but looking at the links it looks pretty damn sweet.
Nice find ;D
<Otixa's seal of approval>
P.S. Actually, I don't like the nVidia plugin either. I use the xNormal one

No idea, sorry.
I just use the default modelling hotkeys. Never used unfold/flatten mapping because the results make me sad. :P

Because Prozac is his muse. I know all!
