    @DirectorOfTheUED: Go

    Thanks for the reply. I just found banks a few seconds ago, so i feel dumb for asking. Anyways, if this project goes anywhere I'll be sure to upload it

    posted a message on New to map editing; have a few conceptual questions

    So, I've played around with the sc and wc3 editor a bit, but nothing could have prepared me for the sc2 editor. Long story short, I have an idea for a series of maps that I don't want to get into too much without knowing if certain key elements of my idea is possible. First a little background:

    There will be a world map in which you move your troops from zone to zone. these zones will be clearly marked. You basically choose what kind and number of units you would like to bring to the next mission with you. Once you start the mission, you load a 'zoomed in' version of the map with the units that were in the zone (similar to how the orc campaign in WC3 TFT had zone transitions). Once you complete the mission, it loads the world map, and unlocks tech trees, upgrades, etc, and gives you more troops.

    So, is there any part of this that won't work in the new galaxy editor? I know there are ways to load the next map, but are there still ways to load and save assets between maps (hero item/level data was saved between missions in wc3, just wondering if that still existed here)? And finally, what's the word on blizzard giving more 'proper' support to custom campaigns?

    Thanks in advance.
