    Hey,

    so what i need help with is i have a barracks, and i have a hero. The hero dies and he is teleported somewhere off screen. Then revives after 10 seconds.
    Well what happens after that is he is still off screen but i have made an ability for the specified hero that re-spawns him into the actual playable map area.
    all works great except i only want him to be able to re-spawn within a range of 5 next to a barracks. I have a search area with correct target filters but what i need is to have a validator that finds only a barracks and not any other structure.

    Deadzergling you were right my issue order was wrong just got it all working perfectly thanks. Here's what i did.

    i had to set
    validator: pathable
    player + caster
    Target + target point
    Unit + caster

    Alright here are the screen shots, so the problems I'm having now is that the marine does not even move at all no matter what i set the target + to or Unit + to in issue order effect. It just doesn't change anything he does not move forward. I believe this is do to wrong inputs in the issue order effect (the very last picture) other than that I'm stumped.
    I did have him moving at one point but it was using an apply force effect which made him only move downwards this did not get the desired effect as i need him to just dash in whatever direction he is facing for a range of 7 in front of him. until he hits a unit.

    Well it's all working fine except one problem my marine does not run straight the way he is already facing, he runs just in a down direction. I did set up the Target location offset start: as Caster Unit. So it should realize that from caster unit head to an offset of -1 y value which is forward correct? i must be missing something.

    Hey so this has been driving me NUTS i have looked everywhere and can't find anything on this but maybe some1 knows
    i need a dash ability made in the data editor.

    So i have the War-pig Marine and made him an ability. What it is suppose to do is, dash forward which ever way the unit is facing instantly (meaning you do not have to target) for a range of 7 and stop at the first thing it hits dealing 70 damage at level one, or stopping at a range of 7.

    so what i have done is made an Effect: instant which applies a behavior. This behavior starts a persistent effect on initial application which tells the range of the ability of y value -7 Effect: Offset, and applies a force effect to push the unit to that location (i have no idea if apply force is what i need or not) then from the behavior i have a search effect running through the behaviors periodic effects telling it to search 180 deg in front of caster and 1 range.

    Problems I'm having:
    - Marine requires target (which i want him to just go forward and stop when he hits the destination or enemy)
    - Behavior does not apply unless with in range of a unit that is targeted by the search effect
    - Marine does not move forward to the offset location of the persistent. I have tried apply force to maybe push him to it, and just a simple issue order effect telling the unit to move forward to offset point, but to no avail.

    please help.

    Well i would like someone skilled in either triggers or data from there i can teach a few things and maybe you could teach me some things. As far as dedication i know real life takes priority and therefore i don't have a strict timeline of when work should be done. (maybe later when the map is closer to completion i would give out some deadlines) Really whenever is good for you, but just make sure you are constant with learning and working with me to help progress the map.
    If you have very little skill I could still use you to help test the map, help with the actual map design, and ideas for the map and abilities. When it comes to knowledge of the galaxy editor i know it's hard to learn but i can help you learn, and if we can't figure something out we can research together to find an answer. That being said someone almost brand new to the editor if they are a fast learner would become an asset to helping me. Just try to help where you can and learn as we go.

    Sigh i feel dumb now kueken i coulda just searched his name here to see if he had posted anything from the youtube vid. Sorry for the waste of space but thanks again!!! (I probably wouldn't have thought about it in the first place anyway)

    Hey,
    I'm currently trying to figure out how to make my Zeratul hero have an ability that allows him to jump on top of an enemy or ally unit still allowing auto attack.
    i know i can do it it because there is a video on you called Zergling face hug. basically it is that that i need if some1 can help me figure out how Wingednosering did it (sent him a PM already. No response!) i would greatly appreciate the help. Here is a link to the video

    P.S. i have been looking into it myself and i decided to start with the Thor transport to see how it attached to the medivac. I duplicated the actors and got some success, but it only works when you use a Medivac to load Zeratul then he appears on top of the Medivac. This is close to what i want. Unfortunately i want Zeratul to use an ability called pounce which allows him to jump onto an air or ground unit and be able to attack it.
