    I'm not sure what I've done wrong here, pretending I have no idea what to do except place 6 start locations on a map, 3 on the left, and 3 on the right...

    How do I make the three on the left "team one" and the three on the right "team 2" ?

    I thought I did that in the team setup, I click on start 1, and said "allies with 2&3" and 2.. allies with 1& 3, and 3 allies with 1&2.. same for 4..5..6.

    BUT when I load the game in custom match multiplayer, it gives me options for team 1 - 4 players, and team 2 - 2 players!?!? No idea what I've done wrong.

    I dont understand what that means? In the editor I load the level, and use the "same level cliff" and I can extend the man made, or the organic cliffs... so they ARE cliffs, but how are they touching like that? The "battle.net" level, the multiplayer level, "SCRAP STATION" does the same thing, it does what I WANT to do.... have rock, touching metal cliffs! I want to make an asteroid, with a "base" coming out of it, but cannot.. It's either 100% metal, or 100% rock. I know I'm missing something!?

    The map: THanson01.. the level where you have to escort the people to their ship down the road, to get past all the zerg...

    They merge organic cliffs, to manmade clfifs.

    I cannot do this, it will not work, and I'm SO frustrated!

    Anyone know how they did this?? I want to make a space map, where this is a space platform, and then an Asteroid Platform, buuut when I make an ORGANIC platform, it then gives me MANMADE edges off to the side!? I'm going insane trying to make... terrain, with a "man made" cliff come out of it, and it's not working.

    PLEASE help!! =D Is it as simple as holding down ALT!? (and what does that even do? makes a green timer lookin thing, and nothing happens)

    posted a message on How to make custom Texture Sets - VERY easy!

    I'm going to teach you how to make "custom" texture sets - allowing you to bring say, "korhal concrete" in to "Mars Sera" texture set.

    I found lots of tutorials online and the never worked for me, and I didn't know why. Everything says, "simply remove, and add the ones you want, then save and close the editor, and reload it!" .. that never worked.

    What DOES work for me is this:

    Go to, MAP, MAP TEXTURES, MODIFY. Then click on the texture on the left that you want, and on the right click the one you want to replace. Hit "replace." Now, save the level (It doesn't matter if you have it set to "fast save" or.... "slow save" whatever it is haha) and now all you have to do INSTEAD of closing the editor, is go BACK to MAP, MAP TEXTURES, and select the set you just modified. It will ask, "are you sure this is undoable" and say yes, and presto! You've loaded in the newly "custom" texture set! It saves specific to that level for you.

    Sooo simpo, and no waiting for the editor to close, and re-open.

    Hope this helps some people, cause I couldn't find this anywhere and I was upset that I couldn't get grass and rocks pavement and sand in the same texture set - now I can!

    Well, whuddja LOOK AT THAT.

    I got it to work, no idea really how OTHER than:

    Instead of removing and re-adding the texture, I hit "Replace" and placed the texture at the TOP. THEN when I loaded the level again, I hit "replace texture with" button on the "operation" section of the texturing process.. on.. the.. right (where you select "add, remove, uniform, replace, fill") annd BLAMO it worked! Now I have my SAND, ROCK, and GRASS! Yipee I looove when stuff works the way it's supposed to haha

    SO it wasn't my machine, it's something to do with how I added the texture to the palette and then how I hit "replace" texture on the operation.

    Yeah I'm getting this too, whaaat a pain!

    I want concrete, grass, sand and some sorta high-tech thing. I was able to finally make more CLIFFS, but as the op said, when I change the texture, it shows up in the palette, but when you go to paint it on the surface, nothing happens. I've tried "removing" other textures etc.. but that doesn't do anything.

    What a pain!

    I wonder if it's DX stuff? I'm running latest DX on an ATI Radeon 4850....... Win7.

    Shouldn't matter cause the others ones work. I can successfully change the WHOLE palette but that's not what I want :(
