posted a message on Random Unit Wars

Players start with one unit: Automation 2000
At the end of every timer, they are given a randomly chosen unit and a set amount of money.
There are 94 possible units to awarded.

The goal of the game is to eliminate the other players' Automation 2000.

    Units:

A large range of unit types are awarded. These include melee units, campaign melee units (ie Firebats, vultures, etc), non-playable campaign units (stone zealot, hybrids, etc), and of course, heroes.

Workers are also awarded, but are only able to make defensive buildings. The tech requirements were modified to allow for this, so there are no "useless" buildings.

Units are only given. They cannot be made. The only exception is for unit abilities that make a temporary unit (sentry gun, broodling)

    Money:
Minerals and vespane gas are awarded at the end of the timer. As a player can only make a defense. Resources are not used for anything else, except repairs.

    Upgrades:
Every player starts with pre-researched upgrades. This also applies to campaign and hero units.

Thanks to shamstar1 for his suggestions.

Version 1.3 is now on battle.net.
    Leader board changed
    Minor trigger adjustment concerning win/lose
    Minor unit ability adjustment
Players can now ally or unally each other by typing: -ally (player number). Player numbers are displayed in the leader board.
            -ally 2         -unally 2

posted a message on [trigger]Chat - Any way to disable "to all" chat?

What about a trigger that floods the chat with blank space? Even if someone were to type something, maybe it would get pushed off of the screen too fast to see?

posted a message on Random Style - Recruiting

Random Style is a team focusing on Random Unit type maps like Random Unit Wars and Random Unit Battle. Essentially the maps all center around that concept.

Random Unit Wars is already done. Making that map helped me realize this isn't something to really do by myself. I need people to improve existing maps and to help develop new maps.

I thought the originals from Starcraft 1 were worth playing. Let's bring those maps back.

Send me a PM if you're interested.
