I'm a bit confused, do you need be actually logged to the PTR or something? The game tells me the PTR Battle.net is down, I downloaded 15GB and have a "War3" and a "War3Data" folders in Mods, but I don't see anything even after I put it as a Dependency.
As was said by Renee you should wait for monday to PTR server goes live. After that you will be able to download all components of wc3data cause its located on bnet, not on local client. There will be units/weapon/actor data as well as some "random abilities data"... Lets just wait to see what it means =)))
You can use models right now, but you should create all missed data by yourself.
Not sure about another tutorial especially about organic sculpting since I am still learning it myself. I can post some links to other tutorials by on that subject.
Well, we can still make new Lobby buttons via Game Attributes for new races and even seperate ones for sub races and make them actually do stuff via triggers.
Agree. But we could do it much easier with full functionality of race data type supported by sc2 editor.

I currently have it saving life/energy and hero level to the images ( though only current hero level seems to save and work properly on mirror images as it does not save the life and energy properly)
But for what purposes do u need to create items in illusion's inventory? Just create buffs for HP/Energy/Attack/Attributes etc. , then calculate the difference between hero and illusion and add buffs to illusion to make it full copy.

I`m talking about data files that was anounced by Renee. Open "Mods" folder in ur PTR folder. There is "war3data.SC2mod" and "war3multi.SC2mod" folders inside, and there is mpq archives inside this folders. There is XML files with units/ability/weapon etc. data inside archives. How to add this data to my map? I can just copy XML code, but it looks weird for official way of accessing wc3 data.

The issue lies in the frame work of sc2, you cant target a unit from the status frame. In theory you could use triggers to detect the button presses and the clicking of the unit portrait.
I did dialogs/triggers based group interface and i can target unit from status frame using it. But i cant use "button pressed" event cause it used very often in game and affected by delay.
