So i need to have a variable that is specific to each player. But not only that i need it to change based on the region it is in. Example: My marine walks near a door, the door has a cost of like 350. So the variable changes to 350. Now my marine walks to the next door, the door cost 400 to open. The variable changes to 400. I am doing this because i have a collapsible menu that has some stats and a yes and a no button. As you approach a door i would like the price to appear so the person knows whether they have enough money to open it. Can someone help me or show me an easier way?
im working on a zombies with 8 players. they all spawn in a chamber and zerglings 'will' eventually spawn in the areas they have unlocked and attack. each round they zerglings get progressively stronger...its the job of the people to explore, open doors, and upgrade stuff.... but im stuck on tinkering with the collapsible menu.. :| and its extreme beta with only the map almost finished and basic scripts. .... and your idea is cooler :| like that flash map where you run around the city killing all the zombies before the virus spreads?
I just thought of something else... The camera only jumps there because space bar is the hotkey. Can you set/remove hotkeys from the editor? Instead of removing the action, try removing the source. Under options inside a game, the space bar is set as the hotkey for alerts. Can that be changed from the editor?
i think im going to have a region around the force field door that opens a dialog box when you enter it. then you will have the option of unlocking the the door in the dialog box. do you have any suggestions or ideas why my bridge wont show up in-game?
With the first problem i cannot see my bridge. It is the Monlyth light bridge from single player, i added it to my map. I also added both dependencies, campaign and campaign story, then placed them at the top of the dependencies list. The bridge looks fine in editor... but when i load up the map, all i see are the glowing auras of the bridge, and not the bridge itself.
Next i am using force field walls as doors and would like them to be selectable so people may click on them. From there i will have a way to unlock them... But how do i go about making a force field wall selectable???
so i added liberty campaign and liberty story campaign dependencies. the bridge popped up, got it to look great in editor, loaded map, and its not there... i tried moving the liberty campaign to the top of the dependencies list just to test, but that didn't work... any ideas why i cant see it?

cant you just tell 'last created unit' to attack region 'entire map' or something 100x simpler.. im making a zombie map too, and that's what i do.

under data type, select Game UI data... then change alert pan maximum duration and alert pan minimum duration to 0.. tell me if this works.
EDIT: in your picture your data type is camera, change it to Game UI data

in the data editor under game ui data, there are some things called: camera - alert pan maximum duration camera - alert pan minimum duration
try setting those to zero

Shot in the dark: But if space bar goes to the last alert, can't you just delete the alert warning in the data editor?
