nice. the town hall is looking really good so far! although the tower's roof seams to be a bit to big.

-increase the size of this white texture and give it a used look + dirt
-the stone part in the your last picture looks strange compared to the other (nice looking) parts.

I'm glad you stopped working on this orc, I would recommend you finishing your buildings before working on units !

may we have a look at the basemesh ?
-head seams a bit to big / the body to small (its more than half of the torso, even a LOTR orc can't have a that big head ;) )
-looks somehow like he had an 8-pack
he did not steal them, these models might look similar to you but bornĀ²'s use about a 20 textures for these framework walls, alrik uses only 1 base texture for the wall and extruded every single piece of wood. nobody would take bornĀ²'s models as base mesh it's less work to redo them.

i like drawing too, but more for fun than really good.
can you show your 'western saloon thing' picture ? its kinda hard to judge drawing skills without a drawing ;)

ofc 2 clicks can change this, but this doesn't mean its useless..
and some dirt ? you can't add dirt via a specular map afaik

and you should uncheck 'rle-compression' cause this can turn your map upside-down

probably he uses 3ds max for the model and PS for the textures

or you could just weld all polygons together, maybe there was a problem with the importer :?
