I'm for demon hunter. I was an assassin player in d2 and this is definitely along those lines more so than the monk.

    Female Demon Hunter FTW

posted a message on What Blizz games have you played?

    I have played

Warcraft 1, 2, and 3 plus all the expansion for the ones with expansion

Diablo 1 and 2 plus the expansions

    WoW and all expansion

    Starcraft 1 and 2 plus sc1 expansion

What I think would be interesting is if people went back and played their wc1 and diablo 1 games. It is sometimes nice to see where it all came from again.

I think it isn't very wise to follow one individual religion to the letter. For one thing the bible is made by humans and humans make mistakes, misinterpret things, and sometimes let their personal feelings get in the way of what is actually true. So I think it is better to find what you yourself think is true rather than what everyone says is true. This is where science comes in. Science is the pursuit of the truth. Then after scientists believe they have found something out it is only natural to share what you have found, so they show evidence of what they interpret to be true.

I myself believe in god but not in the sense I think most people believe. The thought of a all powerful single entity separate from us doesn't make any sense to me. Instead what makes sense is if god is literally everything in existence. As in you are god, I'm god, and so are all the trees and animals. Now I have no proof of what I think is right actually is right but that is what believing is rather than knowing.

In the end it doesn't really matter what anyone believes as long as what you believe makes you happy. So if someone else believes in something different from you and it makes them happy, I don't think it is very fair to push your ideas onto them.

That's what I think of all of this.

I used the Mar Sara Long bridge and after placing I went into its properties and scaled it to 80%. I then rotated to how the road was bent and placed it.

I also used textures to outline where everything was going to be, it helps a lot.

I'll change the road thing to it abruptly ending, also do you want me to remove the ramps as well?

Showing a pic of your current map will definitely help.

Now I put this together really quick. The only model size changes I've made was to the bridges which I scaled to 80%. This is an overhead of the map and there is some spacing in the trees so the player can see into them and if you edit the units a bit can make em fit as well. I noticed one of your roads ended abruptly so i made that road more worn out and eventually fades away like it was once in use.

Again I made this in like 30 min or something like that. Is it generally what you were looking for?

Edit: Oh, and I used the map size mentioned in your first post. I however didn't bother to read like half the post for the specific dimensions of each individual thing and went by eye from your drawing.

Edit2: I also forgot to put in the outpost areas, sorry about that.

Well I'll give it a shot anyway and show a few screenshots. I'm going to go for more basic look because what comes to my mind about what you described is terrain similar to the Total War games.

That's a shame. I guess I'll have to wait a while before I can implement what I want to do.

I'm doing something along the same lines but I have ran into a different problem. I want it so if someone left clicks and they hold down the left mouse button the unit will continue to follow the mouse. What I am having trouble with is figuring out how to detect where the mouse actually is rather than where it clicks. Also if someone left clicks and holds the selection box appears and I don't know where to look to have it disabled.

I like how you have used your doodads. I still haven't gotten really creative with my doodad uses.

Well I'm still working on my desert map but here are some screenshots. I wanna get feedback for how well I have done so far.

Well you could use the raise lower height tool along with the higher/lower cliff to add some variety. Then you could retexture the ground to make it more green and put a very noticeable path on top so people know where they can go.

Well in my opinion... Get rid of some of the cliffs. You can use many other things to block where the player is going and direct them along a path. Some examples are water, trees, and rocks. Also i found if you use more than one texture in an area it can help keep it from looking very plain.

I think you're on to something. But I think you need to spread it out a bit because I find everything to be too cramped together and I'm not exactly sure what to look at. After spreading out the areas i would add some walls to help direct someones attention. Have you checked out the protoss power lines yet. I'm sure u could do something cool with that.

    @Debe2233: Go

I really like what you have done. You seem to have lighted just the right areas in the right way making it have a very interesting look. Everything seems to fit just right. Id like to see some more.

I'm looking forward to seeing what you are gunna cook up. Right now I'm working on a desert area. The area is much larger than the last one so I will be able to change things more easily.

Is the foliage tool you are talking about the thing where it automatically generates random shrubs and such?
